Allumni

Up to now, during a relatively short history of IPFM, there are several dozens of graduates that have been awarded IPFM or Pfeiffer University double diplomas. Being a part of a larger network of friends and colleagues is a great advantage for every manager. IPFM strives for keeping the sense of unity among their graduates and at the same time, keeping them in touch through events, lectures, and the alumni directory. The IPFM Alumni Club also serves as a forum for graduates to extend their network beyond their classes.

A member of the IPFM Alumni Club is automatically each individual who has graduated from an MBA IPFM program and by affiliation to the partner Pfeiffer University, Charlotte, N.C., US, he/she is also included into a larger network of the Pfeiffer Alumni Association at the US.

As up to recetnly the IPFM Alumni Club has existed rather informally, there is a desire to shape its further development alongside more formal lines to reach out to all graduates on a regular basis. The Alumni Club has its President-elected and is in the process of forming an Alumni Committee consisting of a representative of each class that would act as a think-tank for suggesting and planning events and other actions.

It is a matter of fact, that graduates are kept informed about lectures of forthcoming class, professors lecturing on specific subjects and generally about novelties in general business management. If interested, any alumnus can register for lectures and seminars offered that specific year. Often times, if IPFM is requested to give a helping hand in solving a problem regarding the graduate´s work, the Institute is able to generate suitable experts for tackling the problem through its human resources network.

IPFM alumni can use libraries of the Institute, alongside with the libraries of VŠE (University of Economics).

Our alumni are invited - and they turn out in large numbers - to special lectures delivered by top-managers with international expertise that are regurarly held at IPFM several times per year. Past highlights included lectures by current member of board of directors of Škoda Auto Mr. Fred Kappler. Such broadened audiences, aside having gained valuable information and expertise from renowned speakers, serve as fertile grounds for exchanging opinions and points of view, for meeting old and new friends (especially classmates), establishing business contacts and broadening alumni´s networks.

However, there are other possibilities how to get together. The graduates are invited each year for graduation ceremonies which serve also as meeting points for graduates, representatives of our partner Pfeiffer University and Board of Trustees members. The festive atmosphere of these events allows also for a lively discussion at ensuing raut or reception.

The alumni, in fact, meet each year at one of the social events that boost IPFM cohesivness. The past events include bowling soireé, rafting, mountain hiking and an annual dinner that takes place around Christmas.
