Welcome from the Academic Director

Present and future managers will continue to be confronted with constant changes and ever more complex challenges. This induces companies around the world to steadily invest into qualification of their junior management. At IPFM, we therefore ask ourselves: How can we help our students being ready for cutting edge leadership and competitiveness in the global workplace? What are the necessary skills as well as profound knowledge that our students need? How can we best deliver such skills and knowledge to them? How can bridges be built between disciplines to enhance leadership competence, leading to clear visions, concrete results and sustained impact of organizations?

In Prague, a historical bridge between East and West, where centuries of different cultures have both clashed and inspired each other, we can find best conditions for finding answers. Here, with great enthusiasm and patience, we have built an institution of excellence that uniquely combines theory with practice, excellent foreign professors and teaching professionals on the one hand with local expertise on the other hand, and energetic managerial methods with the measured ancient cultural heritage. For it is managerial education in a rich cultural environment that creates a good managerial culture, and the lush state of the Arts in Prague allows us to utilize state-of-the-art educational methods and technologies. In the center of historical social transformations we are transforming managerial education in the whole central European region.

We are also pride ourselves on our ability to link our students and faculty members with their counterparts around the world. Because of strong representation of some of the most successful global companies on our board we are able to link their futures with those of our students. Practical education, then, has two meanings at IPFM: Our MBA programs are practical because to their theoretical foundation they add the best practical expertise of modern companies. Their structure is very practical to the professional who study part-time while not neglecting her/his continuing career. Our students and their partners abroad are challenged to jointly address timely and relevant issues and problems of doing business across borders. This is the most effective way of preparing our students for global competence and excellence.

We hope you will join us to meet this challenge.
