German Course in Weiden

The last course of the IPFM's German MBA-Program 2008/2009 took place from 22nd to 24th of January 2010 in Weiden/ Germany. This event was the another project based on the cooperation between the IPFM and the University of Applied Sciences Amberg-Weiden. This time the topic was "Management Information Systems".

The expansion of IPFM's portfolio

It was during the occasion of Graduation Ceremony that took place on November 19th, when Dr. Prof. Günter, the scientific director of IPFM, informed about the expansion of IPFM’s portfolio. The variety of managerial courses that IPFM provides will increase into 3 key components of IPFM’s strategic expansion.
 
  • IPFM with its corporate partners has been developing a new program called “Jungunternehmerakademie”. The very unique concept of this program will provide first class managerial education greatly combined with professional experience. The study program is designated for young entrepreneurs and business successors.
 
  • IPFM will launch a newly invented Doctor of Business Administration (DBA degree) program created by close cooperation between IPFM and a net of Prestigious European Universities (University Riga/ Latvia, University of Applied Science Kufstein/ Austria) in 2010. The target audience will be several years experienced TOP Managers of internationally operating corporations.
 
  • IPFM is going to welcome its first MBA students from the Technical University of Moscow (MTUCI) in spring 2010. The cooperation between MTUCI and IPFM offers its students and professors several opportunities to exchange and to broaden knowledge, as well as experience.

 Graduation ceremony at IPFM

  • As the graduates have completed foreign–language MBA courses at Institute for Industrial and Financial Management, there was the traditional graduation ceremony that was held on the 19th of November 2009 in premises of Czech – German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DTIHK) on Wenceslas Square in Prague. IPFM is an internationally recognized business school with a strong position on the market. It is particularly due to the German MBA courses that are lectured at IPFM. IPFM is the only business school in the Czech Republic that offers next to the English courses the German program in addition. IPFM emphasizes its activity on a close cooperation between IPFM and its corporate partners from commercial sector. The corporate partners provide IPFM and its students practical modules that generate with the combination of scientific & academic knowledge a great outcome. The courses are lectured by internationally recognized professors coming from prestigious universities and managers from internationally operating corporations. It is possible through this system to allow students to combine practical experience and theoretical knowledge.
  • Most of the graduates possess managerial positions in partner companies, for example Import Volkswagen Goup s.r.o. (IVG), ŠKODA AUTO a.s., Siemens s.r.o., LBBW Bank CZ a.s., Celestica. Some graduates came from other corporations as well. Lets recall for example DHL, Lego or BOSCH. It was our honor to welcome a number of top managers from partner corporations – Mr. KR Rudolf Javurek, General Manager of Import Volkswagen Group s.r.o., Mr. Radomir Simek, President of DTIHK, Mrs. Mirjam Schwan, deputy executive member of DTIHK board of trustees, Mr. Vladimir Hamacek, SKODA AUTO, a.s., and Mr. Arthur Braun, attorney and partner in bpv | Braun Hakovcová.
  • Prior to the Diploma handover, there was a speech that Prof. Dr.. Horst Günter, scientific Director of IPFM had. He congratulated to the graduates and brought out IPFM’s internationally cooperative intentions. IPFM has agreed on MBA students and professors’ exchange program between Technical University of Moscow. IPFM is also about to launch new Doctor of Business Administration program (DBA Program) within a European net of Universities. Mr. KR Rudolf Javurek completed the speech with an introduction of mutual project called “Jungunternehmerakademie”. This project that IPFM and IVG have been working on will provide professional education to young entrepreneurs and succession corporations.
  • The IPFM’s board of trustees held its convention meeting on the 18th of September. The members of the board introduced the annual report declaring that despite the world economic crisis, IPFM has had positively increasing results. IPFM has been preparing an expansion of the MBA courses as well as another great cooperation with Moscow Technical University (MTUCI).
  • On Friday, August 7th 2009, the Scientific Board of IPFM met in Braunschweig under the direction of Prof. Horst Günter.

  • January 8, 2009 The Graduation Ceremony of Pfeiffer University students took place at IPFM. IPFM has cooperated with Pfeiffer University successfully for many years (More information about the Pfeiffer University in the section About partners). By this occasion a welcome for the new German program students was held. Many interesting guests participated at the ceremony. Just to mention a few of them: Mr. Rudolf Javurek, president of IPFM and generaldirector of the Import Volkswagen Group (IVG), Mr. Markus Hermann, director of the LBBW Bank CZ a.s., Mr. Bernard Bauer, Executive Director of the Czech German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DTIHK), Prof. Horst Günter, director of IPFM, and Prof. Ulrich Fröhlich, dean of the Pfeiffer University.
    September 18, 2008 IPFM was present at the German Days at the 50th International Engineering Fair in Brno. As IPFM is a provider of international MBA program and has large exprience with practice oriented education, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Horst Günter, the director of IPFM, participated at a specialized conference discussion "Practical education: best practices from Germany".

  • June 27 – 29, 2008 the course Marketing took place, taught by professor Hünerberg from the Kassel University. Within the course a lecture about marketing strategy of Škoda auto a.s. was held by a member of the board of directors of Škoda auto a.s Mr. Fred Kappler, who is responsible for the sales area. The students had the opportunity to get to know how marketing is done in the biggest exporter of the Czech Republic as an illustration of knowledge gained in the course.
  • April 1, 2008 the IPFM has signed a contract about a cooperation with the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce. According to this agreement IPFM moved to a new address in the city centre of Prague. The courses will be from now on held in the building of our general partner the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce at the address: Václavské náměstí 40, Praha 1.
